This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - ACQC/ACQUITION CENTER.
Duties
Serves as branch chief and first line supervisor, exercising both administrative and technical control over the work accomplished. Plans, schedules, assigns, and directs work of the subordinates.
Serves as senior acquisition expert providing program and acquisition support for all ACQ hardware and software contracts.
Provides oversight of all pre-award acquisition activities, and post-award contract management activities, for ACQ hardware and software contracts.
Responsible for development and implementation of a plan for the strategic consolidation of requirements and contracts for common procurements across the Center.
Critically reviews acquisition and procurement documentation to ensure that contracting plans effectively and efficiently satisfy mission requirements.
Identifies and implements acquisition and contract management streamlining initiatives. Manages large DISA contract vehicles and enterprise agreements.
Plans a process for administering contracts to achieve the intended cost, schedule, and performance outcomes consistent with DoD, and DISA and DCSC needs. Briefs superiors and attends high-level meetings with senior personnel.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in acquisition management and policies and regulations. Perform Contracting functions and analyzing acquisition strategies, implementation plans, and contract management. Plan, design, and conduct studies and analyses of complex plans, programs, and projects to identify and propose solutions.

Education
