About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, Army Reserve G-4, Logistics Management Division, Logistic Studies Branch, located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Technical consultant to supervisor and the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4 staff in connection with the Army Synchronization and Resourcing process and the Army Campaign Plan.
Senior consultant to Deputy Chief of Staff, G4 staff regarding key sequence of mobilization events and milestones, mobilization principles, mobilization budget programming and United States Army Reserve facility planning in support of mobilization.
Perform evaluations of Army Reserve (AR) mobilization practices and processes to inform changes to current logistics programs supporting United States Army Reserve units.
Lead logistics planner for support to war plans and mobilization operations.
Direct analyses of reports and data from various systems for use in the military decision-making process.
Conduct mission analysis to develop courses of action to a problem statement.
Project officer for specified projects to include mobilization drills and table-top exercises in Large-Scale Mobilization Operation and Large-Scale Contingency Operation planning efforts.
Complete technical review of reports prepared by agencies conducting studies and audits.

Specialized Experience Statement: One year of specialized experience whichincludes applying principles of strategic planning, technical project management, technical analysis, information/data management; conducting short and long-range planning for support to mobilization activities; developing policies, procedural changes, and/or modifications concerning Army Reserve mobilization, training and deployment; completing Army Reserve mobilization Planning and processes, Army Campaign plan (ACP), Regionally aligned Readiness and Modernization Model (ReARMM) and the Army Synchronization and Resource Process (ASRP); and supporting mobilization activities for a General Officer level command or equivalent. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
