This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the PROFESSIONAL Work Category at the SENIOR Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA J6-Endpoint & Global Services/J6.
Duties
Manages financial aspects of various defense acquisition programs within their respective directorate throughout the total acquisition lifecycle and provide fiscal advice to acquisition decision makers that align with the acquisition strategy.
Performs analysis and evaluations of the policies, processes, and systems utilized in resource management and provides proposals and recommendations to upper-level management for consideration.
Translates acquisition program requirements into properly priced budget submissions to support POM/PB decisions.
Develops spend plans to support program schedule and established targets.
Anticipates and/or identifies financial issues and their program implication and recommends adjustment and/or corrective actions based upon each particular acquisition phase and learned best practices.
Requirements

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This is a drug testing designated position.
- The incumbent must obtain Acquisition certification in the Business- Financial Management Functional Area at the Practitioner Functional Tier within 60 months of entry into this position, in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.66.
- Situational Telework Only including Emergency and OPM prescribed unscheduled telework.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience with financial management processes and policy, resource management, and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

Education
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experienceat the GG-13 grade level.
