About the Position: Ft. Meade is located between two major cities, Baltimore and Washington D.C., and approximately 11 minutes from an International Airport. Ft. Meade is a hub for the joint services, Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines & Navy. In addition to many recreational activities, you can tour the historical sites of Annapolis; visit the White House in Washington, D.C.; or attend a football, basketball or baseball game with one of professional and college teams in the area.
Duties
Serve as team member and, at times, serve as primary advisor to Brigade Commander (BDE CDR) and Command Group on market research, data collection, and information synthesis pertaining to recruiting market, mission analysis, and mission assignment.
Analyzes and recommends distribution and allocation of BDE resources to achieve all assigned recruiting missions.
Conducts intelligence preparation of the market for BDE CDR on a continual basis for periodic and special requirements.
Coordinates market analysis with all elements of BDE staff.
Provides recommendations to affect market penetration support and prioritize production and promotional efforts for tactical-level execution.
Provides CDR with BDE, battalion (BN) and company (CO) level assessment of BDE market to integrate, synchronize, and coordinate efforts of CDR's staff and subordinates.
Provides primary training for BN market analysts as well as supports training for Company Leadership Teams and Station Commanders in market analysis techniques and strategies.
Conducts annual inspections of BN market and mission analysis process and procedures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

GS-09 Level:
Specialized experience for the GS-09 Level: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-07). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Utilizing Microsoft Excel to effectively track, organize, sort, and manipulate data sets of varying complexity; 2) Performing data visualization tasks to create clear and concise basic charts, graphs, and dashboards for data representation and analysis; 3) Cleaning and reprocessing raw data by identifying and handling missing values, outliers and inconsistencies to ensure data quality and integrity; and 4) Performing data validation checks and verifying data integrity for accuracy and reliability.

Education for the GS-09 Level: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as business administration, statistics, computer science, software engineering, etc.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience for the GS-09 Level: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-09 Level: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
GS-11 Level:
Specialized experience for the GS-11 Level: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-09). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Utilizing Microsoft Excel to analyze, track, sort, and manipulate complex data sets using advanced formulas, functions, and filtering techniques; 2) Performing data visualization techniques to create intricate charts, graphs, and dashboards for comprehensive data representation and analysis; 3) Performing data transformations by combining and integrating data from multiple sources to ensure data consistency and accuracy for analysis; 4) Interpreting complex data patterns, trends, and correlations to provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis; and 5) Utilizing data mining techniques and machine learning algorithms to identify patterns, clusters, and associations within large datasets to uncover hidden insights and opportunities.

Education for the GS-11 Level: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as business administration, statistics, computer science, software engineering, etc.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience for the GS-11 Level: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
