About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Deputy Chief of Staff USA Security Assistance Training Field Activity (SATFA), Financial Management Division, Fort Eustis VA. Fort Eustis is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. The Hampton Roads/Tidewater area has all the conveniences of a big city with charm of small town and rural areas.

Duties

As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: Serve as the focal point for the integrity of the financial management and accounting system file intra- and inter-relationships for funding training of international students under the Security Cooperation/Security Assistance Training Programs. Independently manages, executes and controls the financial management and interface of the Security Cooperation/Security Assistance Training Programs covering Army CONUS and OCONUS training. Serve as lead Subject Matter Expert for the interface, design, development, testing and implementation of financial system initiatives related to the financial management of Army Security Cooperation/Security Assistance Training. Serves as first line supervisor exercises the full range of personnel management responsibilities over subordinate positions. Conducts detailed analysis to determine status of funds, obligation rates, expenditure rates, utilization rates, trend analysis, validity of fund requirements and the need for reprogramming actions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 25% of the time.
  • FMC-02 Certification Required after appointment within established timeframe.
  • Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) required after appointment within established timeframe. -1 year (Basic); 3 years (Intermediate); 5 years (Advanced).
  • Supervisory probation of one year may be required, if not previously completed.
