You will serve as a GENERAL BUSINESS INDUSTRY SPECIALIST in the CENTRIALIZED COORDINATION DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will interface with other departments/divisions within the facility, FRCs, Naval Air Systems Command, Aircraft and Manufacturers, contractors associated with the Facility, DOD, and contract administrators on schedule management issues. You will perform detailed analysis of the capacity plan to ensure that the schedule for their assigned commodity is workable You will provide input to the Master Scheduler to ensure the MPS is realistic and is executed as planned. You will release Work Orders to the Senior Production Activity Controllers in pre-determined increments consistent with established priorities, capacity, capability, personnel resources, and material availability. You will review and make necessary adjustments to their portion of the Master Production Schedule to ensure it is executed in established time buckets through coordination with the Senior Production Activity Controllers.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Examples of specialized experience: 2) Planning, organizing, scheduling, and problem identification and resolution of industrial and administrative processes; 2) Applying thorough and in-depth knowledge of Depot organizational structure and repair processes for shops; 3) Generating reports and schedules; 4) Utilizing available enterprise systems including the Naval Depot Maintenance System (NDMS) to schedule, analyze production workload, monitor and resolve exception reports; 5) Extracting data from multiple sources, developing a comprehensive schedule conducive to effective decision making; 6) Translating demand information (forecasts, orders, customer schedules, etc.) into schedules by which the FRC can meet the customers' needs. .
