You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Resources and Assessment Division (PW1) of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC located in Norfolk, VA..

Duties

You will respond to data calls, make recommendations to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and timeliness of processes and procedures, and elevate issues You will monitor and prepare training briefs and coordinate with PWDs to schedule, set up and conduct training sessions. You will oversee the collection of data, ensure data integrity, evaluate documentation, and develop or fill out management reports. You will identify trends and improvements, perform analysis, track trends, and make recommendations. You will provide support to the Supply Branch Supervisor with developing and monitoring the Supply Branch's budget, and preparing reports.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following deeds: 1) Oversees all aspects of supply chain management using a broad knowledge of the Federal supply program; 2) Leads teams of buyers utilizing GCPC, MILSTRIP, and SAP or similar to procure material; 3) Leads a team that manages a material processing warehouse; and 4) Leads a team that oversees shop stores conducting receipting/issuing material, inventory tracking and auditing of material operations.
