You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION/RECRUITMENT) in the ADMINISTRATIVE AND RESOURCES DIVISION of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties
You will serve as the on-site strategic advisor for assigned Human Resources and Organizational Management (HROM) serviced commands and/or staff agencies.
You will collaborate with EEO, the HROM Recruiter, SWP Advisor, and serviced managers to devise innovative and aggressive organizational demographic strategies.
You will coordinate with the classification team in correctly determining appropriate pay plan, title, occupational series, and grade for HROM serviced positions.
You will advise employees, employee representatives, and management on the classification appeals process and submits appeal documentation to DoD or OPM.
You will respond to issues independently, researching and resolving problems and issues based on knowledge of functional area and administrative processes.
You will track recruitment actions processed by the HRSC in order to ensure recruitment goals are met and advises management on the current status of such actions.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
GS 12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying recruitment and placement laws, regulations, policies, and practices to solve recruitment and placement issues; collaborating with management officials to write and review position descriptions; providing advice to managers and personnel on the hiring process; and assessing organizational HR needs regarding succession planning and recruitment.
GS 11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying recruitment and placement laws, regulations, policies, and practices to solve recruitment and placement issues; collaborating with management officials to write and review position descriptions; providing advice to managers and personnel on the hiring process.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
