About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD MISSION SUPPORT COMMAND/ACOFS, G3 CONTRACT LINGUIST AND INTELLIGENCE PROGRAM SUPPORT OFC FORT BELVOIR, VA. TERM: NTE 5 years, may be made permanent.

Duties

Serves as a Program Manager and Contracting Officer’s Representative in support of the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command, providing technical and administrative direction to internal and external operations. Reviews assigned program acquisition documents generated in the requirements process for adequacy and to ensure acquisition timelines and milestones are monitored and reported. Work with assigned civilian employees and uniformed service members, performing a variety of operational and administrative mission support functions. Represents INSCOM at external activities as required, and performs liaison for planning, studies, policy, and doctrinal matters.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required 10% or less.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crises to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
