As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as Deputy Director, Air Traffic Operations, Eastern Service Area.
Duties
If selected for this position you will serve as the Deputy Director, Air Traffic Operations Eastern Service Area, Air Traffic Services of the Air Traffic Organization (ATO). Acts on behalf of the Director, Air Traffic Operations, sharing full responsibility for full line authority for overseeing and directing air traffic and technical operations within the Service Area. The opinions and directions given from this Deputy position are treated as if given by the Director. Also serves as the principal staff adviser to the Service Center and Regional Administrators with regard to management of air traffic and technical operations within the assigned service area.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-K, FG/GS-15 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is: Experience with the development and application of new standards, system procedures, and/or techniques used in comprehensive reviews and evaluations of air traffic services and safety.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Interview Policy: Some, all or none of the applicants may be interviewed.Security Clearance: Selection and placement are contingent upon waiver or completion of satisfactory security requirement for a critical-sensitive clearance.
