As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Directs the work of subordinate employees/managers for multiple organizational projects/programs and across multiple functions and/or disciplines within a subdivision.
Duties
Duties typically include strategic planning, communicating the organization's vision and objectives, setting priorities, assigning tasks and responsibilities, monitoring and evaluating performance of organizational units, coaching and developing staff and organizational capabilities, approving leave, and taking, recommending, or approving corrective/disciplinary action as appropriate.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required.
- Position may be extended, terminated or may be made permanent without further competition.
Qualifications
To quality for this position at the FV-K level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J (GS/FG-14) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is: Establishment of NAS components, facilities, or systems. Project management experience in NAS programs on projects involving acquisition, deployment, sustainment, and improvement of facilities. Aviation technical knowledge gained through experience in the design, development, deployment, or performance evaluation of systems or facilities that support the NAS. Experience includes design, project management, or construction administration of projects or programs in military or other public or private sector infrastructure development efforts.
