About the Position: This is a PERMANENT Management Analyst position with the Soldier School Institute at Fort Jackson, SC.

Duties

Serves as a Management Analyst with primary responsibility for providing personnel support, conducting studies, analysis, and implementing directives. Performs management analysis and administrative functions. Identifies and addresses administrative and management issues impacting the efficient operation of the Finance Comptroller School (FCS). Responsible for management of the FCS civilian personnel, which includes working with the SSI G8 Manpower Manager on manpower management for civilian authorizations and other manning documents.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes: 1) participating in manpower / functional studies to include organization and mission; 2) reviewing of the Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) for personnel or equipment; 3) establishing criteria and guidelines in determining such matters as format, materials needed for supporting documentation to be used in work papers and reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as business, accounting, marketing, finance, economics, political science. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational AwarenessPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
