This position is in Region 3, Mission Support Division, Human Resources Management Branch. Qualifications

NOTE:  You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as experience providing employee relations consultation and advisory services to employees and managers; conducting research, investigations, and/or case management; and recommending and preparing corrective actions related to conduct, performance, and/or attendance.Your answers to the on-line assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of a wide range of employee and labor relations laws, policies, regulations, and precedents; 2) Skill in providing technically sound consultative advisory services on issues; 3) Skill in oral communication; 4) Ability to lead a team on special projects or studies critical to the resolution of operating issues and problems; 5) Skill in interpreting data and analyzing trends; 6) Skill in written communication. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
