You will serve as a MARITIME WARFARE SURFACE PLANNER in the COMMANDER U.S. PACIFIC FLEET, at the CONTINGENCY PLANS SUBDIVISION of COMPACFLT OPERATIONAL PLANNERS.
A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.90% will be added to the stated salary.
Duties
You will be responsible for managing the integration/production of T-JFMCC/PACFLT operational plans as well as Course of Action (COA) development for emergent requirements i.e. Non-combatant Evacuation Operations, Humanitarian/ Disaster Operations.
You will coordinate the development of subordinate Fleet and Task Force Supporting Plans and SOPs.
You will provide support to emergency planners to ensure contingency plan related skills and essential tasks incorporated into PACFLT sponsored exercises.
You will develop briefs, point papers and other material for presentation at Flag-level policy meetings.
You will lead study groups formed to evaluate maritime surface (SUW) readiness/mobilization support to units/activities.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: analyzing, developing, and coordinating contingency planning activities for deliberate and crisis actions in support of "Continuity of Operations," by providing direction to forces and logistics planners, in order to meet warfighting and mission objectives.
-Expert level knowledge of joint force employment in the maritime domain to include experience integrating non-lethal effects and general knowledge of surface warfare weapons systems throughout the joint force.
- Operational planning and/or operational staff experience in the USINDOPACOM AOR.
- Expert executive level communication skills to include experience in communicating to Flag and General Officers through written correspendence, briefings and extemporaneous discussion.
