About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation.

Duties

Develop and implement policy and procedural guidance concerning proper protocol requirements for visiting dignitaries, military ceremonies, conferences, meetings, and briefings. Compose and develop a wide variety of military and civilian correspondence, highly complex Itineraries, fact sheets, information papers, etc., as related to the mission and requirements of the Protocol Office. Document After Action Reports (AAR) for concluded events, visits, and depot tours. Complete analytical evaluations of programs and determines ways to improve productivity and application thus increasing the quality of the protocol program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must have a valid civilian driver's license issued by a State or U. S. possession in order to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's Identification Card.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Flight Line Access License.
  • TDY travel is occasionally required.
  • Incumbent may be required to work overtime or called back to work for extended hours, weekends, evenings, and/or holidays.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Tier 3-Noncritical- Sensitive, Moderate Risk investigation.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Specialized Experience GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Planning, coordinating, and executing ceremonies, exercises, schedule of events, site visits, and travel accommodations; 2) Understanding of and applying the principles, methods, practices, and procedures applicable to protocol functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Public Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
