This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers.

Duties

Supervise and direct the development of the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) Strategic Plan for training. Ensure the training and education program supports the depot?s mission, vision, values, business goals, objectives, customers? needs and business challenges. Supervise the Training Operations Group to incorporate the Annual Training objectives into the depots Annual training Plan. Supervise the identification of requirements for manpower, money, materials and methods to conduct all training for CCAD.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing strategic training plans and budget that support a large business industry; Identifying and developing training requirements for all technical and administrative skillsets related to organizational needs; and Securing manpower, money, materials, and methods for establishing future training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
