About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Family Morale Welfare & Recreation, Army Community Services Division at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Provide Mobilization and Deployment readiness and resiliency training for Army Community Services (ACS) through programs such as Soldier and Family Readiness Training, Command Family Readiness Representative Training, and Family Care Plan training. Manage the Family Readiness Group Center scheduling trainings and conferences to address family issues that may arise during the mobilization and deployment phases. Plan and implement the Community Emergency Family Assistance Center in time of disasters when required by the Commander. Responsible for the Installation Army Disaster Personnel Accountability and Assistance System. Implement resiliency-based and readiness services or programs to support Soldiers, Family, Retirees, Survivors, or Civilians to encourage retention and readiness. Provide supervisory oversight for the Army Community Services (ACS) Mobilization and Deployment unit service coordinators. Oversee the Military Family Life Consultant (MFLC) program on installation and implement the training for the data warehouse to Commanders for usage by MFLCs. Provide written and oral communication on program and services.

OR Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the Basic Requirement above, you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining a multi-functional program implementing social services programs and initiatives; providing self-reliance and readiness education or training using appropriate instructional techniques and methods; planning, organizing, and executing special events and/or activities; and coordinating readiness and resiliency services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required specialized experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
