The primary purpose of this position is to manage exchange of information, verify compliance of orders, provide insight to cybersecurity statuses to assess risk, develop and prepare reports based off of team findings and provide recommended remediation strategies and solutions.

Duties

Manages the exchange of information to/from both Tier I, USCYBERCOM and JFHQ-DoDIN, and Tier III CSSP subscribers, including applicable orders, such as warning orders (WARNORDs), planning orders (PLANORDs), tasking orders (TASKORDs), and fragmentary orders (FRAGOs). Provide JFHQ-DoDIN Battle Stations visibility and insight into the cybersecurity status of their respective portion of the DREN and SDREN to assess risk to the DODIN through reports, findings, and analyses resulting from vulnerability assessments, intrusion assessments, evaluations, inspections, exercises, DoD Cyber Red Team operations, or lessons learned from military operations. Consolidates input from team leads to develop documentation including mission briefings, status updates, situational reports, mission reports, functional analysis reports, feasibility studies, and cost analysis results. Coordinates communication, written and verbal, internal and external to the Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) regarding a wide variety or operational functions related to Protect, Detect, and Respond service areas.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, there is no Group Coverage Qualification Standard for the 2210, Information Technology (IT) Management series (Alternative A). Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: In order to qualify for this position you must also meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Individual Occupational Requirements found at: Individual Occupational Requirement for Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210 (Alternative A). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have or will have within 120 days of closing of this announcement, one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DO-01/GS-11 (or higher) grade level or equivalent (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or public sector). Specialized experience is experience managing the exchange of information to different organizations, verifying compliance of orders, provide insight into cybersecurity statuses to assess risk, develop and prepare reports based off of team findings and provide recommended remediation strategies and solutions. OR EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
