This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Columbus, Ohio, Fort Huachuca, Arizona, Fort Meade, Maryland, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Pensacola, Florida, Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia, and Scott AFB, Illinois .

Duties

Analyzes, evaluates, and initiates corrective actions for negative and un-liquidated obligations and direct account payables. Recommends improvements in accounting, budget, financial procedures, or services, and submits systems change requests. Executes billing methodology by establishing appropriate billing records in the financial system based on information provided in supporting service request. Advises managers on changes in policy and program operations. Furnishes financial and budgetary reports, and other resource management information reflecting the interrelationships between financing, budgeting, and other management data. Assists management officials in applying financial data and information derived from sources such as reports and ratios and actively participates in the management of operating programs. Reviews, research, and analyzes funding issues related to procurement orders.

Qualifications

Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-07 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-05 or higher grade in the Federal Service. For entry at the GS-09 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher grade in the Federal Service. For entry at the GS-11 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher grade in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience: For the GS-07, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-05 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience at the GS-07 level is defined as experience recording, monitoring, and reviewing financial transactions and relationships through examination of accounting records, lines of accounting (LOAs), and source documents. For the GS-09, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-07 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience at the GS-09 level is defined as experience recording, monitoring, and reviewing financial transactions and relationships through examination of accounting records, lines of accounting (LOAs), and source documents; and experience executing financial transactions and financial data analyses. For the GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-09 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience at the GS-11 level is defined as experience recording, monitoring, and reviewing financial transactions and relationships through examination of accounting records, lines of accounting (LOAs), and source documents; experience executing financial transactions and financial data analyses; and experience with financial transactions in support of reimbursable operations. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Education

Substitution of education for the specialized experience requirement at the GS-07 grade level: Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement or 1 academic year of graduate education (or law school, as specified in qualification standards or individual occupational requirements). Superior Academic Achievement: S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT GS-09 LEVEL: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, or Master's or equivalent graduate degree such as LL.B. or J.D., may be substituted to meet the experience requirement.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT GS-11 LEVEL: Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
