About the Position: Serves as a Case Analyst performing a wide range of military record, financial, and medical analytic functions within the Army Board for Correction of Military Records.
Duties
Review, screen and analyze applications by employing a range of fact-finding and analytical techniques and procedures to properly interpret varied and complex factual situations pertaining to military human resources.
Present comprehensive written and/or oral summaries of advisory opinions, medical reviews and/or issues stemming from additional evidence to assist processing cases.
Confers with key stakeholders across both internal divisions and external agencies prior to cases being moved to any Board for final processing in order to narrow or clarify any issues involved.
Review and assist in the processing of taskings which request personnel, legal, finance, and medical advisory opinions in support of cases seen by any of the twelve administrative boards.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes requesting for reconsideration of cases closed by denial of formal hearing; reviewing and advising on a variety of personnel issues pertaining to the correction of military records; providing clear and concise written communication on all aspects of military personnel functions; analyzing military personnel assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
