You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the ENVIROMENTAL DEPARTMENT of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA.
Duties
You Will assist in the Manage one more environmental programs.
You Will identify environmental abatement projects needed by the installation.
You will develop project plans, outline environmental policies and identify long term and short-term goals and objectives.
You will integrate new or redefined procedures with the latest amended theories and techniques to the managed programs.
You will assist in coordinating with higher level staff regarding cost or controversial project that are covered under the Comprehensive Enviromental Response Compensation and Liability act (CERCLA)

- Required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain MCAS Yuma, AZ base driving priviliges.
Qualifications
GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical and administrative oversight of environmental projects and contracts (e.g. scopes-of-work, specifications, and estimates); and preparing correspondence, briefs, and media tools that enhance environmental awareness and a general environmental compliance knowledge including a basic knowledge of established principles, concepts, and methods of environmental protection work focusing on supporting waste management, compliance site inspections, and collecting data. Possessing /demonstrating the skill to apply the basic knowledge in performing a variety of routine programs.
