You will serve as an Environmental Protection Specialist, Program Manager for the Environmental Management System (EMS) in the Environmental Division of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA.
Duties
You will provide general program management and implementation the EMS program in support of the installation’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
You will serve as an alternate to the Comprehensive Environmental Training and Education Program (CETEP).
You will provide broad technical review and oversight for all installation drinking water plans, drinking water reports, knowledge of water treatment plant process, water distribution components, and associated aspects of drinking water projects.
You will review technical reports and laboratory analyses for compliance impacts related to the installation's storm water permits.
You will provide broad technical review, expertise, and oversight for all installation EMS matters and CETEP.
You will develop project plans, outline environmental policy, and identify long and short-term environmental goals and objectives.
You will review technical reports for program compliance and negative environmental impacts. Identify strategies to bring non-compliant organizations back into compliance while maintaining operational readiness.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating the knowledge and ability to apply of ISO 14001 on a daily basis; 2) Exhibiting a knowledge of CETEP and ability to apply CETEP in an educational manner to achieve your objective(s); and 3) Preparing staff papers and briefs for and presents briefs to installation general staff, leadership, and tenant activity officials.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Have 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M, if related
OR
Possess a combination of education and experience described above.
