You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the Environmental Division of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA.
Duties
You will develop, organize, and manage the administrative process for the necessary environmental documentation on proposed actions as the action pertains to military training, construction and repair of facilities.
You will prepare Command Orders, policies, and written instructions for the compliance with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
You will personally review and comment on internal and external reports and documents submitted by federal, state, tribal, or local environmental agencies and support contractors, addressing the effects of proposed military activities on environment.
You will review other reports relating to land-use classification, recreational development, encroachment, land planning, etc.
You will determine which is procedural law that requires full public disclosure of environmental impact, alternatives, and mitigation measures expected from proposed actions.
You will develop project plans for long- and short-term goals and objectives for the Installation Restoration program.
You will be MCASY's expert in regarding requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as implemented by the Marine Corps, Title 40 CFR, Part 500 Council in Environmental Quality and Code of Federal regulation Part 775.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assessing the effects of the proposed action to the environment, proposed alternatives, and necessary mitigation to reduce the impact on the environment; AND reviews reports relating to land-use classification, recreational developments, encroachment, land planning, etc.
