The selectee of this position serves as a Budget Analyst. You will be responsible for performing a wide variety of analytical and administrative duties relating to budget formulation, budget execution and financial management.
Duties
As a Budget Analyst at the GS-0560-12/13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Formulating and tracking budget allocations for the USMS Federal Prisoner Detention (FPD) appropriation nationwide.
Planning, developing, updating, and compiling an annual prisoner housing program budget for each USMS District.
Providing budgetary guidance and financial reports to program managers.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-0560-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
Specialized Experience: At least one year (12 months) of full-time specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade GS-11 in the Federal Service performing duties which include the following: 1). Conducting research and analysis and compiling data for the development of budget estimates and budget projections; 2). Formulating and tracking budget allocations; 3). Monitoring and analyzing the execution (i.e. obligations and expenditures of funds) of the approved operating budget; 4). Making recommendations to adjust budget funding or execution plans to avoid deficits, excess funding, and to ensure the efficient use of resources; and 5). Preparing a variety of financial reports and analysis for managers.
