About the Position: This position is located at Headquarters, Training and Doctrine Command, DCS G-3/5/7, Training, Security Assistance Training Field Activity, Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, Virginia is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Local Transportation via the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus service to the surrounding area which includes Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, York County, Gloucester, Suffolk, and Smithfield.
Duties
Serve as action officer on matters pertaining to the analysis of quota execution for the Security Assistance (SA) training mission with special emphasis on international training fill rates and attrition data.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for database management system data mining, merged report generation, and functional data analysis capabilities.
Monitor tracks,and manages the international fill into constrained Army courses.
Develop Security Assistance training mission executive and working level reports, point papers, information papers, correspondence, and briefing presentations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance for the duration of their employment.
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) up to 10 percent of the time.
- Term Appointment-This is a Term position scheduled to last {insert months and/or years}. A term position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management. Are you available for term employment?
- Term Trial Period- Term employment is subject to a one- year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights. Are you willing to serve a one- year trial period.

Specialized Experience GS-11 One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) assisting with a variety of international military student training programs; 2) participating in analytical studies related to the execution of training missions; and 3) gathering data for reports to validate international training, (This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.(Transcripts must be provided)
Specialized Experience GS 12: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) tracking international military student training quotas; (2) conducting analytical studies related to the execution of training missions; and (3) generating reports to validate international training programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement GS 12: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Education

This is an obligated position and cannot be made permanent.
"Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (5 years] by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted.
Term Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a term appointment (NTE 5 years). Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position."
This position can be filled at the GS-11 or GS12 level.
