About the Position: Headquarters, US Army Forces Command Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Monitor FORSCOM system and item asset inventory, resolving command excess and shortage shortfalls. Provide ACOM level maintenance support, supply and readiness oversight of assigned systems and items. Represent FORSCOM at conferences within the command, exercising authority to commit definite courses of action.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires the employee obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Requires TDY via commercial air, military air, rail, private and commercial auto up to 25%.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements

Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience in 1) Logistics automation expertise in managing equipment via the Decision Support Tool and Global Combat Support System-Army; 2) Analyzing equipment on-hand reported on unit property books to develop divestiture, cascade, and redistribution plans; 3) Managing equipment fleets at the ACOM, ASCC, or Corps echelons; 4) Equipping units in support of COCOM deployments, immediate/contingency forces, or modernization windows. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipPlanning and EvaluatingProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
