About the Position: Supervise the development of contingency plans and orders for First Army in support of those plans published by higher headquarters for general war, various operational contingencies, and special situations. Supervises, monitors, develops, and directs the development of plans and orders required to support First Army missions and objective.

Duties

Prepare and deliver briefings, papers and correspondence to senior leaders and executives. Represent the command at higher-level conferences and meetings. Develop and review operational and contingency plans, programs, policies and procedures in support of strategic and higher-level plans and orders. Advise senior leadership on policies and procedures impacting organizational goals and objectives. Lead and direct the military planning processes.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain/maintain Secret clearance.
  • Up to 25% Business travel (TDY)

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementManages Human ResourcesPlanning and EvaluatingProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
