Duties

Serve as the Operations Branch supervisor providing oversight for customers and supplier support, operational plans, international agreements, and contracting. Responsible for synchronizing and integrating logistical concepts, and bulk petroleum distribution methods, practices, and techniques across the sub regions within INDOPACOM. Serve as the subject matter expert in all supply chain health issues spanning the five DLA Energy sub regions as well as the exercise compliance and assessment program manager. Plans and directs the development of bulk petroleum logistics supporting planning for contingency and wartime operations. Participating in military deliberate planning groups or teams. Responsible for using metrics and to regularly align work efforts to contribute to organization objectives. Perform supervisory functions which include but no limited to planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, evaluating work products, setting deadlines and approving training to ensure mission accomplishment.

  • USCENTCOM Physical Requirement: Must meet requirements specified within USCENTCOM MOD 13 Individuals Protection and Individual-Unit Deployment Policy in relation to occupying a position at an overseas/deployed location within the CENTCOM area.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Participation in military deliberate planning groups or teams. Planned bulk petroleum logistic support for contingency and wartime operations. Responsible for the management of Supply Chain. Performs assessment of complex performance metrics. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
