About the Position: Serve as the subject matter expert for medical readiness manpower modeling in the Office of the Surgeon General/MEDCOM, G8/9, Manpower Directorate, Requirements Development Division. Lead teams and provide technical expertise in conducting manpower requirements determination, modeling, organizational mission and function studies, and special management studies. Position located in Falls Church, VA.
Duties
Execute medical readiness manpower models, studies, predictive workload models, and other force structure actions with the primary goal of assisting managers in determining essential mission requirements with the most efficient use of resources.
Provide technical expertise of modeling and quantitative and qualitative research methods to determine medical readiness requirements.
Participate in the data collection, analysis, and data reporting, including the development of internal organizational tools to assist leadership at all levels of the organization understand manpower modeling data and analysis.
Perform technical reviews of manpower requirements determination or allocation models developed by contractors or other Army activities.
Perform research and examine historical information to determine whether valid relationships can be established to assist in completion of assigned projects.
Offer extensive knowledge of Army and Military Health System data systems in order to identify and utilize the appropriate data as input drivers to models and other projects.
Participate in the data collection, analysis, product development and data reporting needs of the Requirements Development Division.
Develop internal organizational tools as well as decision support tools to assist leadership at all levels of the organization understand manpower modeling data and analysis.
Requirements

- May require travel up to 25% of the time within the U.S. and overseas.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) developing models that represent manpower requirements for validation; 2) developing various models such as linear regression, predictive model, and/or statistical analysis; and 3) utilizing data systems and models tools to evaluate process efficiency, productivity, or effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
