You will serve as a MANAGEMENT & PROGRAM ANALYST in the Commanders Action Group of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY.

Duties

You will serve as the principal advisor to the Director, Commander’s Action Group (CAG) and other senior manager on the development, implementation, and revision of senior directives and policy. You will coordinate with Secretariat to ensure the accurate assignment of takings, completion, and submission of deliverables to higher authority. You will develop, initiate, and implement administrative policies and procedure for assigned areas of responsibility as directed. You will provide technical advice and administrative guidance regarding objectives, policies, procedures, problem resolution and coordination of administrative activities. You will ensure work products meet program objectives and comply with relevant policy.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience working with Navy Medicine structure, mission, programs, and organizational relationships. Experience with the function and mission of subordinate organizations and the ability to gain the cooperation of functional and technical elements to ensure interface with high level technical experts. Experience applying management principles and methods, strategic planning and program goals, objectives, and requirements to integrate administrative support requirements with key mission objectives and activities of the command and higher headquarters to ensure reinforcement, continuity, and support. Experience using wide range of quantitative and qualitative methods, techniques and applications to conduct comprehensive studies with variety of subject matter experts, to assess and improve complex administrative systems, processes, and programs.
