About the Position: This position supports the mission of the J-8, Financial Operations Directorate and is located in San Antonio, Texas.

Duties

Serve as the DHA HQ Assistant Chief, Budget Operations and performs duties as the Deputy Chief of the DHA HQ Financial Operations Division. Establish, direct, review, and approve all staff s DHA program management policies. Initiate timely action during fiscal cycle to schedule briefings and present recommendations to leadership, identifying key resourcing challenges and providing meaningful recommended solutions in accordance with established resource strategy. Provides direct supervision to 20 subordinate civilian employees. Guide the development of a detailed annual work plan for each employee to ensure the accomplishment and integration of DHA goals and objectives. Set priorities, advises field program offices on program goals and objectives, and make decisions on work problems.

Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
