You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) in the NAVAL SUPPORT FACILITY of Board for Correction of Naval Records (BCNR).
Duties
You will serve as a Naval Records Examiner to the Board for Correction of Naval Records.
You will review applications received from members and former members of the Navy and Marine Corps and reserve components alleging errors or injustices in Naval records.
You will conduct preliminary reviews of proposed testimony and evidence, perform legal research and prepare comprehensive summaries of the facts.
You will perform legal research to identify relevant cases, statutes, and regulations for use by attorneys during litigation.
You will review proposed disciplinary and adverse actions for compliance with legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience applying regulations, practices and policies, concerning military personnel;
Experience examining and conducting reviews of cases involving corrections to military records (for example, performance and promotion evaluations, adverse actions, discharges and retirements, and pay, benefits, awards and disabilities) for veterans, active duty and reserve personnel; and
Experience performing legal research to identify relevant cases, statutes and regulations for use by attorneys during litigation.
