This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Human Resources Division.
This position's primary purpose is to serve as the Associate Deputy Assistant Administrator; developing, implementing, evaluating and overseeing Human Resources policy, compliance and classification.

Providing oversight and lead strategic planning and implementation of HR programs and activities.
Providing strategic advice and direction, evaluating human capital program and operations.
Evaluating a full range of HR programs and policy to ensure compliance with Federal regulations and Executive Orders.
Providing extensive and substantive specialized Human Resources advice, guidance and direction to hiring managers and leadership.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your experience in serving as a principal advisor managing a Human Resources program and responding to related inquiries; possessing technical knowledge in all areas of Human Resources; assessing a Human Resources program, and developing and implementing recommendations, policies, procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness; ensuring senior management officials are abreast of all Human Resources program matters; and supervising a subordinate staff.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
