About the Position: Serve as a Program Analyst reporting directly to the Resource Division Chief within the Directorate of Prevention, Resilience, and Readiness (DPRR), Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9. Relocation incentive MAY be authorized subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations.

Duties

Management Decision Package (MDEP) manager for assigned MDEPs within the Directorate of Prevention, Resilience, and Readiness (DPRR) and G-9. Examine the efficacy of methodologies used by stakeholders to support requirements for programs within MDEPs across a variety of appropriations to include application of non-appropriated funds. Serve as a senior analyst for a wide variety of duties concerned with the management, integration, and/or control required in the execution of assigned program and technical budgetary functions. Analyze discrepancies or inconsistencies within assigned programs to resolve problems with program managers, functional representatives or other analysts as appropriate. Provide inside Management Decision Package (MDEP) useful visibility so that leaders can better assess program worth, confirm compliance and rank order programs given links to strategy, priorities and guidance.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for duration of employment.
  • This position may require temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of this position's time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Data AnalysisOral CommunicationPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
