The primary purpose of this position is to serve within AFSC/ LGP as a management and program advisor to the Director and Deputy Director of the Logistics Directorate. Responsible for administering and overseeing operational programs and special projects and ensure they comply with policy and procedures of the directorate.
Duties
Serves as the Directorate's advisor on programs and initiatives within AFSC/ LG. Plans, organizes and carries out the activities of the Center LG Director, ensuring the programs and data provided comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Advises and keeps local management and OL Division Chiefs informed of all pertinent problem areas and issues.
From within LGP, administrators a variety of staff studies relating to the management of the LC Directorate. Evaluates program effectiveness and provides data required to support current or future plans and operations. Identifies the need for studies, establishes parameters and determines if study will require a working group. Serves as a facilitator of such working groups, provides guidance and direction as needed.
Plans, coordinates and conducts staff meetings as directed. Obtains necessary background information, materials, and data to insure complete coverage of issues.
Works to achieve and support quality improvement in all products and services. Actively supports and particpates in Art of the Possible (AoP) evebts applicable or related to assigned duties.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have, or will have, within 120 days of closing of this announcement, at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-11) level or equivalent (grade level, pay schedule, pay band, etc.) and is described in detail in my resume. Examples of creditable specialized experience includes: applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; skill in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity; application of fact finding and investigative techniques, advises upper level management on program goals, efficiencies or areas of concern, and drafts and finalizes briefing and reports

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge and skill in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to perform studies, conduct research, recognize and analyze problems, summarize results and make appropriate recommendations for program and/ or process improvement.
Knowledge of the organization, programs, missions and functions, and organizational structure of AFSC & AFSC/ LG and the relationships of program goals and objectives, work processes and administrative operations to accomplish various assignments involving overall planning and execution of programs and operations.
Knowledge of the laws, regulations and policies that are applicable to AFSC & AFSC/ LG.
Skill in gathering, assembling and compiling data; evaluating information; analyzing problems; drawing conclusions and devising solutions with recommendations.
Ability to integrate and coordinate multiple and related missions, functions, subjects, issues and situations across echelons to present and recommend solutions in a logical, cohesive format.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues and maintain working relationships with senior leaders.
Knowledge of LG processes, procedures and polocies that impact organizational operatioinal readiness. Excellent understaning of logistics (LG) operations and activities.
