About the Position: Serves as Team Chief/Supervisor of the Screening Team, Intake Team, or Promulgation Team, Case Management Division, Army Review Boards Agency.

Duties

Organizes and adjusts work priorities and reviews written products for team employees, to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable military human resources laws, policies, and procedures. Contacts and coordinates with outside organizations affected by implementation of Board decisions. Research and interpret military personnel management and military human resources laws, statutes, regulations, procedures, and policies. Gives advice and counsel on work and administrative matters. Responds to inquiries concerning complaints from individuals regarding their applications for correction of military records. Oversees work products to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable military human resources laws, policies, and procedures, ensuring exhaustion of administrative remedies and the timeliness of applications. Interviews candidates for subordinate positions; recommends hiring, promotion, or reassignments.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipManaging Human ResourcesWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
