About the Position: Serve as a Budget Analyst in the Resource Management Division and perform the full range of analytical technical, and administrative duties involving budget formulation, presentation and execution. This position is located at the U.S. Army Human Resources Command (HRC), Fort Knox, KY.
Duties
Presents information in the appropriate format and justifies it to reviewing and approving authorities.
Execute budget policies and procedures in conformity with DoD/DA guidelines.
Review requests submitted by directorates and activities to assure accuracy and consistency to command policies and priorities.
Serve as liaison with higher headquarters concerning budget administration activities.
Advise directorate and activities on all matters dealing with policies and procedures
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a SECRET Security Clearance.
- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.

Specialized Experience: 1 year of specialized experience which includes experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving a range of budgetary problems (e.g. developing alternative sources of resources; formulation of budget estimates for programs requiring re-budgeting; and development and administration of budget execution plans for activities subject to changing demand for services which necessitate reprogramming throughout the fiscal year. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
