You will serve as a Management Analyst in the Process Controls Staff (Code 220A), Process Controls Division (Code 220), Engineering & Planning Department (EPD) (Code 200) at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA.

Duties

You will review source documents verifying that all required budgetary and accounting information is correct and complies with existing budgetary policies and procedures. You will request, receive, and review support data obtained from each (EPD) Engineering and Planning Division, and prepare a summary for senior department management review. You will collaborate, separate and analyze data to provide sound recommendations and accurate information to the Department and Division Heads. You will attend shipyard management level meetings with and occasionally in place of the department head when required by schedule conflict.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and applying a wide range of methods to gather and analyze data concerning management processes and recommending improvements. Experience utilizing knowledge of Shipyard workload forecasting models such as the Strategic Planning and Forecasting (SPF) and the Workload and Resource Report WAAR). Experience which is extensive in administration, project management, business office financial and production work in relationship to ship repair, maintenance or inactivation business. Experience utilizing a high degree of evaluative, analytical, technical judgement, along with originality and resourcefulness. Experience establishing workflow methods and procedures, determining work to be accomplished, and setting work priorities. Experience preparing official correspondence. Experience persuading supervisors, managers, co-workers on complex, controversial or new concepts.Experience identifying inaccuracies and anomalies in a considerable amount of information.
