This vacancy is for a Supervisory Program Analyst position in the Decennial Administrative Branch, Field Division located at the US Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line-Suitland Station.
This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Supervisory Program Analyst, GS-0343-14, FPL GS-14 positions within the Census Bureau in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
Duties
Direct and implement a national and large decentralized program utilizing project management practices and skills.
Lead a team by setting work priorities; supervising assignments; evaluating employee performance; and providing training, instruction, and advice to staff members.
Manage and coordinate the administrative programs for the Field Directorate ensuring regulatory compliance.
Attend meetings and discussions across the agency with various Census Bureau Divisions at various management levels representing the Field Division.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: supervising and training a staff responsible for various administrative projects and programs; working on administrative issues that cross organizational lines or geographic areas requiring close and harmonious coordination and interdependence with other directorates, regional, technical, and research oriented staffs; utilizing project management practices to manage and analyze administrative program schedules, resources, risk, budget and requirements; managing, collaborating, and communicating the examination, documentation, development, testing, and implementation of various administrative activities.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer.
