You will serve as a LEAD ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Submarine Combat Systems & Weapons Branch Code 271, in the Submarine Programs and Systems Division Code 270, of the Engineering Department Code 200 in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.
Duties
You will serve as a team leader for Submarine Combat Systems and Weapons Branch.
You will lead/collaborate with the respective 6 waterfront coordinators, SMEs, and Branch Heads within the submarine division to ensure all active fleet technical assistance jobs and assessment tasking is manned appropriately,
You will resolve common issues, identify problems that should be handled at an enterprise level and facilitate solutions.
You will respond, coordinate, and track Submarine Technical Assistance (TA) requests with the appropriate MARMC Technical Codes and provide updates to Squadron Six.
You will identify, distribute, and balance workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with a wide variety of systems, subsystems, components, and associated equipment within a Submarines Combat Systems Suite.
Experience communicating effectively, both orally and in writing to negotiate solutions to problems.
Experience interpreting plans, schematics, drawings and specifications and making field adjustments/modifications as required.
Experience leading functional checkouts, tests, and inspections of major systems.
Experience providing technical assistance on less urgent but, complex technical problems beyond the capability of forces afloat, intermediate maintenance activities, or repair activities to diagnose and correct.
Experience assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of assignment difficulty and requirements, and employee capabilities.
