You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Availability Support and Planning Division Code 220, Chief Engineering Code 200A, Engineering Department Code 200, Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR.

Duties

You will monitor to ensure consistency and compliance. You will make timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. You will plan work to be accomplished, set and adjust short term priorities and prepare work completion schedules.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing and promulgating engineering technical strategy, policy, guidance, and plans. Experience developing competencies of others to perform and contribute to the organization by inspiring and providing a learning environment of ongoing feedback and opportunities through formal and informal methods, enabling employees to address skill gaps and realize their highest potential. Experience applying principles, methods, tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing engineering projects and resources, including technical performance. Experience identifying the cause of problems, and choosing courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders. Experience developing networks and builds alliances; collaborates across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals. Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with key individuals or groups understanding what motivates them.
