You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Directorate of Maritime Operations (N04), Force Assessment and Certification Department (N04A), Surface Policy and Certification Division (N04A1) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Duties

You will prepare reports, conduct analysis and present briefings on various aspects of unit assessments and certification. You will make oral presentations before groups, including senior officers. You will prepare briefing papers, reports, and correspondence on major issues. You will monitor/utilize database software that is embedded in NIPR/SIPR web pages (portal). You will support the review and promulgation of quarterly readiness Manual Reviews and updates.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For GS 12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience conducting studies and perform analysis of problems affecting overall readiness of ships, and to develop solutions to the problem. * Experience with operational and administrative relationships with Fleet Commanders and other DOD activities, governing agencies and private organizations in the maritime industry. * Experience coordinating and collaborating with both internal and external organizations, agencies and staffs at mid-level (military O-4/GS13).
