You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Total Ships Readiness Asessments (TSRA), Engineering Integrated Logistics Support Division of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will participate in matters pertaining to configuration and logistics support at various meetings and conferences.
You will work with the shipboard database, Organizational Maintenance Management- System-Next Generation (OMMS-NG), Automated Work Notification (AWN), and the Mobile Base Product Support (MBPS) databases.
You will review maintenance action forms for correctness and update Discrepancy Documentation Tool (DDT) to reflect changes.
You will represent the command as the technical expert in shipboard reviews and ensure proper logistic support is provided to the Fleet.
You will be responsible for executing the TSRA and Integrated Logistics System (ILS) groom programs based on TYCOM direction, and In Service Engineering Agents (ISEA).

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying an in-depth knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) logistics and configuration procedures pertaining to the identification of requirements, requisitioning, receipt control, storage inventory, accountability, distribution and transportation as it relates to ships' systems and equipment. Examples of specialized experience include some of the following: 1) Providing logistics and configuration support to Fleet units undergoing Total Ships Readiness Assessment (TSRA) and Ballistic Missile Defense Readiness Assessment (BMDRA); 2) Providing functional support in Configuration & Equipment Validation, Technical Manual Review, Repair Parts Ordering & Analysis, On-Board Repair Parts (OBRP) inventory during BMRDA and all other specific ILS related to the modernization, installation and rip out of installed shipboard equipment; 3) Reviewing technical publications.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
