You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALST (CLASSIFICATION/RECRUITMENT) in th ADMINISTRATIVE AND RESOURCES DIVISION of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will analyze the duties of a position to determine the correct title, pay plan, series, and grade level. You will brief managers on civilian human resources program policies (e.g., compensation, employee relations, performance management, work life, workforce development). You will advise hiring managers and selecting officials on recruitment strategies for attracting the best qualified candidates for vacant positions. You will advise agency leaders on strategic human capital solutions to align employee development strategies with an agency's mission.

Qualifications

GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledgeable in applying recruitment and placement laws, regulations, policies, and practices to solve recruitment and placement issues; Provides guidance/resolutions to management on all recruitment and placement issues.; Track recruitment actions to ensure management's recruitment goals are met. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: operating HR/personnel systems; generating and reviewing personnel actions; and applying Human Resources recruitment and staffing regulations. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

LL.M., if related

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
