About the Position: Serves as a Supply Technician responsible for providing staff direction and technical guidance to one or more elements of the command in supply management involving Training Aids and Devices Simulator/ Simulation (TADSS).
Duties
Perform technical supply support work such as reconstructing complex supply transactions, resolving discrepancies, conducting extensive record searches to establish audit trails, and responding to inquiries pertaining to supply support requirements.
Utilize one or more automated supply databases to maintain property and hand receipt account records and to make changes as needed.
Implement property book accountability procedures at the hand receipt level.
Maintain accurate accounting and reporting systems for accountable property and perform routine phases of property management.
Effectively perform inventories of property and assure regulatory compliance.
Perform all duties as Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder and Purchase Request (PR) creator for the Training Support Center.
Requirements
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Forklift Operator's Permit.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Incumbent will be required to operate a motor vehicle up to 1 ½ ton.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes following up on the maintenance of products, storage and security of aids and devices; AND monitoring and maintaining the Management Control Number (MCN) register; AND utilizing an automated property book system to process purchase requests for supplies and services; AND ensuring proper reutilization, distribution, and disposal of excess property. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
