Duties

Manage all aspects of the drug and/or alcohol-testing program Resolve operational problems involving the drug and/or alcohol-testing program. Develop, prepare and submit budget estimates to ensure drug and breath-alcohol testing continuity. Provide training in all classes dealing with drug and/or alcohol testing. Present training to commanders, civilian/military supervisors, Installation workforce, Army Reserve units and other 'need-to-know' personnel. Revise and update training presentations as required. Operate and oversee the operation of office automation equipment for the purpose of random selection of drug and/or alcohol test candidates. Interpret technical and scientific data involved in the use of alcohol breathalyzer detection equipment.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment
• The duties of this position may require the incumbent to carry a cell phone and be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week on a rotational basis, based on the needs of the organization.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time to attend training.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• This position requires the incumbent to be certified by the Department of the Army (DA) Drug testing Coordinator (DTC) Certification Course within nine months of assuming their duties.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
