You will serve as a DRUG DEMAND REDUCTION PROGRAM MANAGER in the MANPOWER AND RESERVE AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will manage the Drug Demand Reduction Program, a federally mandated drug deterrence program.
You will manage drug-testing program for the total work force.
You will manage the Marine Corps Demand Reduction Program to prevent illicit drug use by active duty members, reserve members, and other personnel supported by host-tenant agreements.
You will develop policies and directives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the DDR section.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing most or all of the following: 1) Evaluating, inspecting, and directing processes, procedures and policy utilizing comprehensive knowledge of policy and guidance that inform a Drug Demand Reduction Program (DDRP) to ensure proper program execution; 2) Identifying issues, analyzing information, and providing advice to resolve substantive problems affecting the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a program or program support setting; 3) Developing long-range program plans, objectives, and budget to ensure mission goals are met; 4) Communicating both orally and in writing to manage a DDR Program by providing educational materials, and delivering reports to supervisors, elected government officials, high ranking officials, and higher headquarters personnel; and 5) Planning, scheduling, and assigning the work of subordinate staff to ensure efficient operations.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
