You will serve as a Boiler Plant Operator Leader in the Utilities and Energy Management Product Line of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will start/operate/adjust/stop/maintain/perform various operational repairs on single or multiple fuel power boilers. You will perform operational maintenance and repairs to ensure safety of personnel and equipment. You will perform operational maintenance and repairs to ensure safety of personnel and equipment. You will use electronic/hydraulic/pneumatic controls and zone charts to determine adjustments/corrections for proper boiler operations.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. 1) Monitor steam plant equipment. 2) Operate, maintain, and repair a central heat plant. 3) Maintain plant logs, laboratory records, and quality control records. 4) Ability to adjust valves, control pumps, and regulate pressure atomizing burners, dampers, and fans. 5) Monitor boiler water, chemicals, or fuel and adjusts.
