You will serve as a BOILER PLANT OPERATOR SUPERVISOR in the UTILITIES AND ENERGY MANAGEMENT (UEM) PRODUCT LINE of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will review maintenance records, operational reports, flow data, standards, and laboratory analyses to anticipate and avoid potential boiler plant problems. You will interpret local, state, and federal pollution control requirements to verify boiler repairs are completed in accordance with regulations. You will determine resource requirements for scheduled boiler plant maintenance work to plan work assignments. You will make individual and sequential adjustments to boilers or generators to maintain maximum efficiency of equipment and systems used in operating cogeneration plants. You will operate a distributed control system (DCS) to monitor boilers and related controls and pneumatic systems.

• You will be required to successfully complete a physical examination.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current CPR certification.
