About the Position: TACOM is located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan which is in Detroit's largest suburb located about 15 miles north of downtown. The area offers world-class museums, art galleries, concert halls, golf courses, several prestigious universities, and collegiate and professional athletic venues.

Duties

Serves as an action officer, project leader, liaison and operations specialist within Future Operations (FUOPS) TACOM G-3 Operations and Plans. Participates in and coordinates multi-function teams, conferences, Interim Progress Reviews IPRs, and planning session to establish and implement specific policy guidelines, milestones, and execute command level events. Manage TACOM Orders process, including Operations Orders (OPORDs), Fragmentary Orders (FRAGORDs), and Warning Orders (WARNORDs) related to TACOM operations. Work with leadership to plan command wide events such as changes of command, senior leader forums, award ceremonies, and other high visibility events. Review, analyze, and update TACOM strategic plans to support National Defense Strategy or specific COCOM plans. Participate in Command strategic multifunctional teams requiring coordination, information and developing courses of action.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Failure to satisfactory complete any aspects of the process is grounds for termination.
  • Overtime may be required on short notice. Operations may be required on a 24/7 basis and also may be necessary during exercises, crises, or contingencies.
  • Incumbent may be required to temporarily work extended and irregularly tours of duty to include days, nights, shifts and weekend.
  • Required to sign a Situational Telework agreement and, upon management determination, may be required to work from alternate locations during local or national emergency situations, such as severe weather or man-made disasters.
  • May be assigned to work at TACOM offices on Detroit Arsenal, Garrison, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, or a TACOM leased private facility within the Detroit Metro Area.
  • Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 15% of the time.
  • Data Analytics certification requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for Data Analytics Level 1 certification within 24 months of being placed on the position.
